Top 10 Websites Optimized For The Wii
The Nintendo Wii’s internet browser Opera, is designed to be viewed from a television set, rendering most regular websites with tiny fonts, simply unreadable or too small to read from far away, after we don’t sit in front of the TV as we do in front of the computer.
Not to mention the problems with using the Wiimote. The solution is that many sites are introducing special versions made exclusively for browsing with the Wii.
We scouted the net to find the top 10 Wii-optimized websites, please feel free to ad your favorite Wii-optimized website on the comments section.
1) WiiHear
WiiHear is our favorite directory of radio stations designed for Wii. No registration is needed and it works like a charm, features plenty of ratio stations and you can even add your own, lacks other possible features but still a great service.

2) FineTune
FineTune is one the most unique Wii optimized radio station websites with a very easy navigation layout and large icons and a flash radio chooser, surely one of the best Wii enable sites.

3) Wiicade
Wiicade is a fun online arcade website optimized for the Wii, with large game icons and easy navigation, now it’s hard to tell who would want to play games on their browser when browsing using their game console but apparently many are, Wiicade receives a considerable amount of traffic.

4) SofaTube
SofaTube is not your standard YouTube video site, Sofatube is a Wii designed web application which lets you browse and watch videos from YouTube and Revver, its interface is clean and easy to use, although browsing using the Wii’s Opera is easy, its layout will not be so kind to your Firefox or Internet Explorer browsers.

5) Clusty
Clusty is your google for the Wii (should had been called Wiigle) optimized with big font results and easy to navigate links. Clusty queries several top search engines, combines the results, and generates an ordered list based on comparative ranking. This “metasearch” approach helps raise the best results to the top and push search engine spam to the bottom.

6) Mapwii
MapWii is a Google Maps application which lets you find other Wii game friend codes numbers directly on the map. Somehow not completely designed for the Wii, it works well, over 20,000 Wii friend codes from around the glove are stored.

7) WiiWant2Play
WiiWant2Play is a Wii enabled portal for videos, arcade games, music etc, what’s great about WeeWant2Play is their easy to navigate Arcade menu with a great selection of games to choose from.

Google Reader
Google Reader is a news and RSS feed Wii-optimized version of their site, which you can view directly on your TV.
