Nintendo WiiWare Damage Control
Nintendo launched a quick response team to repel the accussations to this week’s IGN podcast in which IGN claimed that WiiWare titles would have a limit of 40MB, and that developers would set their own prices and be limited to releasing one game per month, which would make games like SquareEnix’s Final Fantasy nearly impossible to make as we had previously reported.
“I can confirm as we originally said at the announcement of the WiiWare service earlier in the year that WiiWare games will come in a range of sizes but we will encourage smaller, more compact games for the service…”
“I can also confirm we are contemplating that developers will be able to release one game per month during the launch window in order for us to address potential volume issues.
“We have not revealed any details about who sets pricing for WiiWare titles. However it is important to remember that one of the keys aspects of the WiiWare service is to allow everyone access to fresh, new content at a low price.” a Nintendo spokesperson told Eurogamer today.
For those of you lost in the sauce on what WiiWare is, it’s pretty much Nintendo’s answer to Xbox Live Arcade or PlayStation Network games, in which Nintendo hopes to encourage independent developers to produce low budget Wii games and downloadable video game content for sale by Nintendo through the Wii Shop Channel.

I don’t get it..if Nintendo responds to IGN about WiiWare Titles & lack of MP3 hype, why the hell won’t they answer back on IGN’s rant on no Nintendo Headset?
What’s with the girls eye?
She Left The Kitchen
Another non-answer from Nintendo reps. What a surprise.
That bit about larger games being impossible is false, though. You can have as large a game as you want available for download, if you utilize *drum roll* …episodic releases. Simple.
