YouTube High Quality Videos, What About Games and Gadgets?

YouTube co-founder Steve Chen, speaking at the NewTeeVee Live conference today, confirmed that high-quality YouTube video streams are coming soon.
Chen told Webware he expects that high-quality YouTube videos will be available to everyone within three months.
This is all great and dandy, but us gamers are still pissed off that YouTube removed their “Games and Gadgets” category from their main page, which allowed us to view the top video game videos, YouTube then bitch-slapped us by moving all of our video game videos to the “Entertainment” category… WTF over?
Thanks to Pelord for the correction.

Take a look at YouTube’s Blog, they slightly addressed those issues, saying that Video Game videos belong in the ‘Entertainment’ category. An earlier blog entry mentions how YouTube is now allowing videos to be up to 1GB in size.
I made a post on the blog about the category change (under the NSider2 account) saying that many video game videos would get lost. A lot of other people seem to agree.

Omg, don’t tell me our videos are going to be mixed with Paris Hilton and that happy guy Perez Hilton?
Time to look for another video host.
Yeah, that’s my point…
I’m uploading a video about this to my YouTube channel. It should be up soon.
Entertainment doesn’t fit with videogames. At least we get better quality
LoneYoshi87, you are completely right, video game videos just don’t fit in that category at all, what is YouTube thinking?
Video is up:

Might make another news post about it later… maybe.
Do they put Music with Entertainment? If they do, then I can see how Games would also go with entertainment, but if Music gets it own category, then so should Video games, it’s more of a hit than Music in a lot of places.
Mariolee: Yes, music has it’s own category.
I hated it. I had to put my Wii Fit mock under tech. Youtube should re-consider this chocie. It was a horrible one.
