Second Galaxy Negative Review or Publicity Stun?

Megatonik.com reviewed Super Mario Galaxy in yet another negative review for the legendary Mario, I will summarize it for you so that you don’t waste your time.
“Nintendo has finally released a full blown sequel to Mario 64, after the disappointing spin-off, Super Mario Sunshine, on the Gamecube.”
Storyline: “The storyline, if you can even call it that”
Gameplay: “Next, Nintendo throws in some completely idiotic mini games such as stingray surfing”
Graphics: “still tends to look extremely jaggy and unimpressive”
Audio: “you’ll be forced to read through a lot of slow text”
Final Word: “Galaxy is essentially the exact same game we were playing 10 years ago on the N64″
Final Score: 2/5
Agree? disagree? or publicity stun?

Just another moron shouting in the dark hoping to get some attention. Sadly, we did just that.
Woah… never read that site before, probably just trying to get publicity
Their review is weak, wonder when another one is going to pop up.
This review is such crap… barely any depth, and they blow things up like “it’s the best graphics on the wii, but it still sucks”
Obviously, there are still some reviewers who can’t appreciate originality (then again, Fritz DID say it was astoundingly original), and would rather play a game with a dark storyline, super-realistic graphics and lots and lots of violent combat.
Luckily, I’ve never heard of these Megatonik people until today, so they must not be too popular with the general gaming crowd.
Once again a stupid question
Football games have been the smae for ages do they get good reviews
Answer: Yes
Zelda games have been the same thing forever do they get good reviews.
Answer: Yes
Do the FF series get good reviews even if the characters still are girlish looking.
Answer: …yes… sort of…
See my point. It’s a total publicity stunt and they just want their site to be in the spotlighrt.
[...] CONTROVERSY!Reviews Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) – 2/5 [...]
Hey, this is zizzy from MEGATONik.com.
This was not a publicity stunt. The author who posted it genuinely dislikes the game, and his opinion wasn’t going to be censored just because it went against the popular consensus. There was even a heated discussion in the forums as to whether he should post the review since not many would agree with him and it would just be seen as nothing more than a publicity stunt despite the fact it was his honest opinion.
Even before the review was posted, we had an average of over 1,000 visits a day (you can look at our sitemeter for proof), and had been on Digg, Joystiq, Kotaku, Destructoid, and many others multiple times, so the hits this review brought in weren’t even a huge deal. They didn’t bring in that much more than we would have gotten anyway, and if you read the comments and reactions, the amount of people who now hate the site and think it was just done for publicity will probably offset the small temporary spike in traffic.
And you call us out for what you thought was a publicity stunt, and then submit your post to Digg? Isn’t that incredibly hypocritical?
No. It isn’t. Your site just sucks zizzy.
I understand that some people disagree with the opinions expressed in this review, but discrediting the entire site because the opinions in one post contradict your own (and those of the majority of other reviewers) is just stupid. If you don’t agree with the review that’s fine, but it doesn’t make sense to judge the site (or even the author of this review) solely on a single article.
