Camp Hyrule 2007?

For some reason, Nintendo has not yet closed down their Camp Hyrule website, even though it is already November. Although the main part of Camp Hyrule 2007, the Link statue contest has been over for ages, everything else from summer ‘07 is in fact still up and running. why Nintendo has not bothered closing it until next summer is as of now currently unknown. Possibly it is because of the fact that the administrators of the original NSider are no longer working for Nintendo, and thus got fired before they could end camp.

“Nintendo is working on a major overhaul to Nintendo.com to support the continued success of Nintendo DS and Wii. As we prepare for this huge site update, Nintendo must unfortunately close the Nintendo NSider Forums message boards indefinitely beginning Sept. 17, 2007.”
OLD NEWS IS OLD D:

I never actully got to go to that camp while it was running…..
I thoght it would be something out of an MMO when I saw the map.
Itt possible is because it holds our only memories of NSider left..
Wow, Nintendo really let themselfs go on this one. -_-
Though I don’t know for sure, I think it is more likely that the directors anticipated this as a possible ending point for Camp Hyrule. They will not be around to push for Camp’s survival anymore, so there’s no telling whether or not we’ll see it again. We might. We might not. With an unknown future, I suspect they purposely left Camp online as a remnant of what it meant to us. Possibly for us campers to look back on, but possibly for whoever will be in charge of deciding Camp’s future, too. One thing is for sure: they didn’t get fired before they could end Camp. They had known about their departures for a long time. I personally think this was intentional. I think it was a good call.
