‘The Mario’ Has Passed…
WWE Hall of Famer and portrayer of Mario on The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, has passed at the age of 76.
World Wrestling Entertainment has released the news of ‘Captain’ Lou Albano’s passing. Currently, the actual cause of death has yet to be released. However, MTV Multiplayer (who has credited Albano as the “Doer of ‘The Mario’”) has posted on their website that the WWE has released the information that Albano had been admitted to hospice care earlier in the week.
Apart from his role as Mario on The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, and his professional wrestling career, Albano appeared in various Cyndi Lauper music videos (Girls Just Want to Have Fun), and has also appeared in episodes of Miami Vice.
