Nintendo DSi XL Releasing in America in Early 2010
Nintendo recently announced a new version of the DSi in Japan, sporting a bigger screen, bigger body, bigger battery life, and bigger price tag. The DSi LL launches on November 21st for 20,000 yen (approximately $220), sporting 4.2 inch screens and will come with three pre-installed games: A Bit of Brain Training: Arts, A Bit of Brain Training: Science, and Kiyou Akira Rakuhiku Language Easier. Additionally, it will come with two styli, one akin to other DS styli and one significantly bigger (seen above), and is releasing in three colors: Dark Brown, Wine Red and Natural White.
But this big beauty isn’t limited to just Japan–North American and European gamers will get a chance to purchase this upgraded DSi in early 2010. It will be renamed the DSi XL for North America and Europe, and will have all the same features as its Japanese cousin, including pre-installed games. It’s a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who already purchased a DSi (like me, *grumble grumble*) but for people who want a bigger hand-held with an easier to see screen, this seems like the definitive version of the DSi. Sheesh. Stop milking the DSi. It sucks, nothing will make it worth the money. Gawsh.

Nice. I haven’t gotten a DSi yet, so I’m definitely keeping my money tight until this one.
With it being sized up like this, unless they gave all the extra space to the internal storage, you’d think they’d add the GBA back in to get the people that stuck with the Lite.
Well I can’t believe that I bought a DSi then. But I’m still gonna get this, after all I have the DS, Ds Lite, and the DSi.
Everyone is so annoyed with the release they are missing the big picture…the battery lasts longer … the stylus is more comfy conpared to the weird placement of fingers when using the tiny other stylus.. Also the screen is bigger… Everyone is so quick to judge.. ALSO DUHHHHH nintendo always releases new colors after the first year… this time they released a whole new system.. it is no one’s fault people jumped the gun and bought a dsi right away.
