Nintendo announces Wii Party
At a financial results briefing in Japan, Nintendo revealed the latest “Wii ___” title, Wii Party. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata described the title as a flagship for the Wii: “we are developing this game with the aim to make it a marquee party game for Wii.” The developers have worked to include a variety of games, so that “every Wii player will be able to find a game that can be enjoyed.” With a number of four and two player games, including roulette, bingo, dice, and Balance Ship pictured above, there should be plenty of content for whatever type of game you want to play. Will this be another breakout hit for Wii’s casual-friendly catalog? Will there be a new peripheral packaged with this one? Hopefully E3 will provide some more answers.
