Speaking with Google Next Week

yt_3ds_q

Next week, I will be going to California, where I will be meeting with various Google representatives, as well as several Guides and Top Contributors from the YouTube Help Forums.

YouTube has definitely made it’s presence in the video game industry.  People upload gameplay footage to YouTube for others to watch, often with spoken commentary.  YouTube API’s have allowed gamers to upload gameplay footage of some games directly from the game to their channel profiles.  We can also stream YouTube videos straight from consoles, through built-in web browsers, and an upcoming YouTube application (which at the moment, is still only confirmed for the Xbox 360).

The question now, is if a product like YouTube can expand further among the more recent and upcoming systems.  Would people watch 3D YouTube videos on the 3DS?  Should we be able to upload 3D videos with the 3DS camera?  Could YouTube be planning something for the Wii U?

I definitely have my share of questions to ask while I’m there, so I will be posting about anything significant that I’m allowed to.  Maybe even some video footage, who knows?  I am open to any questions if anyone has them, but unfortunately I can’t guarantee all answers.
