Welcome to the Arena Challenge!

If you were a member at the original NSider, or were here at NS2 early on, you probably remember this. If not, I'll explain what this is all about.

Each week, I'll post a challenge from a game, usually a Nintendo game. New or old, they're all fair game (no pun intended). There may be challenges from non-Nintendo games from time to time, but seeing as to how this is a Nintendo forum, most will be Nintendo related. The object is simple: get the highest score, and win the prize. What's the prize? We'll get to that a little later. First, some rules. These must be followed at all times.

Rules

1. All general forum rules apply here.

2. All scores must be submitted to me through a PM. Do not post entries in this thread, or else they won't be accepted.

3. All scores submitted MUST have photographic, or picture, evidence of the score. Along with that, your NSider2 screename must be visible in the picture. This is to prove that it's your score, and that you didn't find the picture somewhere on the internet. Write your screename on a piece of paper and put it beneath your score. Don't edit your screename in with a photo editing program. Scores submitted without a picture to accompany it will not be accepted. No exceptions.

4. You may only enter one entry per week. So, if you enter a score, but then get a better score, your second score won't be accepted. Only your first score that you submitted will be accepted. When you know your score is the best that you can get it, submit it.

5. Suggestions for upcoming challenges are welcome! Either post the suggestion in this thread, or PM it to me. I prefer that you PM it to me, but if you want to post it in this thread, that's fine too. Your suggestion has a better chance of being added as a future challenge if you PM it to me, though. Keep that in mind.

6. Each new challenge will be posted up on Sunday (no specific time that they will be posted), and will run until Saturday. Entries must be sent to me by 11pm EST, Saturday night. That's 10pm CST, 9pm MST, and 8pm PST. The winner will be announced sometime the next day, along with the new challenge.

If you have any questions about any of these rules, please PM me about it. Use this thread to discuss the contest in general, the current challenge (don't share what your scores are), or ask any questions you might have.

The Reward

Okay, now that the rules are out of the way, you're probably wondering what the prize is going to be. What are you going to get? Would a rank please you?

Yes, the prize for winning the week's challenge is a rank. That rank happens to be the Arena Champ rank. Here's the fancy group icon that goes with it.



The winner will keep it for a week, or until a new winner is decided. You can't have the rank two weeks in a row. In other words, you can't win it two times in a row. This is to give everyone a chance at getting it, so the same person doesn't end up getting it multiple weeks in a row.

I'll see about getting a rupee reward thrown in with the rank as well. But, for now, it's just the rank.

I said there wasn't going to be another Guitar Hero challenge for awhile. This challenge is for Diddy Kong Racing DS. Fastest time trial time on Spaceport Alpha will win it for you this time around. Really all there is to it.

In Nsider, it was rather popular. People seem less interested in contests here.
