Hey there, and welcome to the DS Game of the Month Contest! This is contest where you do a little write-up about your favorite DS game, new or old. So, how does this all work?

What this is all about

It's simple, really. To enter, you need to post your entry in this thread. I'll have a post set aside for entries, and as we go along, I'll add them there. At the end of the month, I'll set up a poll on this thread to vote for the winner. That's right, you guys will be the judges. When the poll goes up, just look through the entries, pick your favorite, and vote for that entry in the poll. Pretty simple.

Rewards

Well, there wouldn't be much of an incentive to win if there wasn't some sort of reward, now would there? Don't worry, I have something set up just for that. In fact, there are a few rewards.

- The DS Award ribbon, which you will receive if you win.

- 100 Rupees, which will be added to your account if you win.

- In addition, your submission, if it wins, will be added to the NS2 Community Portal for everybody to see.

Deadlines and Other Rules

Each contest is going to last through the third Friday of each month, and the voting period will go on for that following week. During the voting period, do not post new entries. If you do, they will be ignored.

Keep your entries around 2-3 paragraphs, roughly. Really, don't just post a sentence or two. That isn't going to help you win. As always, make sure your entries follow the NS2 Code of Conduct and all that.

If you have any questions, post them here or send me a PM. Thanks, and good luck!

Hmm, this seems fun, I'll try and come up with something, but I don't really get what I'm trying to do? Is it a review? Is it something persuasive?

Kind of like a review. Just give your thoughts on any DS game. You don't have to rate it on every aspect or anything; just say what you think of it.

I'm still a little confused. How is it judged and what, specifically, is the objective.

After the period for entering is up, I put up a poll in this thread, and the users vote on who should be the winner. Yes, that means you can vote for yourself. It's preferred that you don't, but there's really no way to enforce a rule like that.

What you're trying to do, basically, is post a mini-review (just a few paragraphs in length) on any DS game. You don't need to have scores in it, but you can if you want to. To enter, just post it in this thread.

Not sure if I'm doing this right, but anyway here it goes 16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

I would like to nominate my favorite DS game, and at the moment my favorite hand held game.

ELITE BEAT AGENTS!!!

Elite Beat Agents, or EBA for short, is about a group of a governmental agency who's one purpose is to make life easy for everyone. If they make life easy or not, well that's up to how well the Agents perform. The Agents don't do too much besides cheer on their client to do as best they can. If the Agents perform groovy dance moves to help their client feel better and get them through it be it the best outcome or the worst.

The game play of EBA is so simple, but the difficulty that it holds will keep you coming back for more. EBA is a rhythm game (Guitar Hero, DDR) but it plays pretty differently from any other rhythm game before it (kind of >.>). When a circle appears on the touch screen you'd best get ready to tap it, but you'd best not tap too quick or too slow. You'll know when to tap based on the outer circle closing in on the inner circle, when you tap it'll make a beat, get the best beat and your clients will be on a roll...get a bad beat and well...perhaps your client would have been better off without you... But tapping circles alone would get boring there's also sliding beats, same rules apply, however this time you must keep your stylus on a ball and guide it to the end of the slide beat...and then there are spinners...you spin them...

EBA boasts great game play, fantastic replay-ability, and the Agents themselves are some of the coolest video game characters in a while.

Also if you've ever read Game Informer it's kind of like the back section where they would post thoughts by one reader on their favorite game and that would be Readers Choice of the month.
