Is the lag off your internet connection completely unbearable? Or is the button-lag ruining your wifi expierence?

If you are having any problems with wifi AT ALL, this solution could fix your problem.

First of all, what is a background task?

There are numerous "background tasks" running on everyone's computer constantly. Not all of these background tasks are completely visable.

Steps:

Step 1: Hold down Ctrl-Alt-Delete, which will open the Windows Task Manager.

Step 2: Click the proccesses tab- it will show all the processes your computer is running at the time.

Step 3: Click the USER NAME heading at the top of the manager. This sorts all of the procceses by
username.

Step 4: Select an item with the usernames on your computer. DO NOT selec on from the SYSTEM,
LOCAL SERVICE, OR NETWORK SERVICE groups. Also, do not select the explorer.exe, the
taskmgr.exe, and the NintendoWFCregister.exe.

Step 5: Click END PROCESS. You may see a warning message, but if so, click YES. The selected item
will be removed from the list and will stop running on the computer.

Step 6: Repeat steps 4 & 5 until only the explorer.exe, taskmgr.exe, and NintendoWFCregister.exe
remain on the list.

After doing this, connect to wifi, and your connection will be crystal clear.

WARNING: After shutting down the background tasks, you must restart your computer to be able to run
most programs on your computer. Restarting your PC will make all background tasks
running again.

This works 99.9% of the time. Satisfaction guranteed with broadband internet connection.
Works best with Windows XP.
Test on Vista and Microsoft computers on your own risk.

Other ways to reduce/destroy lag:

1. RUN SPYWARE CHECKS PERIODICALLY

Nothing can slow down a machine like a good dose of Spyware. Don’t let those people who write Spyware ruin your game.

2. CLEAR UP SOME HARD-DRIVE SPACE

Another way lag can be fixed up some is if you delete your browsing history/cookies/internet cache once a week to clear up some space.

3. CLOSE ALL MESSANGER PROGRAMS

Be sure to close programs such as AIM, MSN, or Yahoo Messangers before your begin your online expierence.

4. GET A FASTER INTERNET CONNECTION

Although this seems obvious, many people are oblivious to their incredibly slow internet connection. I recomend comcast or AT&T for a very fast connection.

Praise for these methods:

It works with any method of the Nintendo Wifi Connection, and not for just
Brawl. It works with any game system with lots of lag, including DS, Xbox
360, or PlayStation.

If you don't have the nintendo Wifi-USB connector, then the only
ones remaining in the list should be explorer.exe and tskmgr.exe

Seems like it could be useful, but I don't have lag problems on Brawl, because I can't play online anyways 16x16_smiley-sad.gif . My Wifi's been broke for months.
