-Talk to everyone in the first village. Lots of people give up here. You can not progress until you have talked to everyone.
-The green tiles in dungeons hide switches. Step on all of them if you're stuck!
-Some of the green tiles open up instant-death areas. An example is going through a door and stumbling right into a bottomless pit. Be cautious!
-A good majority of weapons have limited uses. Use them sparingly.
-This should be obvious, but kill everything. Usually you will have to kill all the enemies in a room to open a door. Plus those extra hearts come in handy.
-You can go past certain obstacles that look impassible. An example is when you are trying to get the first Heart Container. It looks like it's blocked by mountains, but you can walk right through a few of the mountains and get the heart.
-A lot of puzzles are difficult due to primitive graphics. Sea-tunnels that you can't see due to the viewpoint are marked as bubbling whirlpools. There are a few other examples of this, so look at your surroundings carefully

Good tips snake, I agree with all of them. Thankfully I learned all these things quick, otherwise I may have gotten frustrated.

That first tip was something I didn't even think about, i always try to talk to all NPC's in games, so it just sorta worked out nicely.

Remember kids:

Killing everything in video games is fun. Killing everything is real life is not.

And knowing is half the battle.

I remember the original had you use a number from the instruction manual by dipping it in water. So how does the VC take this into consideration?
