No one can ever take off any of the original 12 that were featured in the 64 version of smash bros. it will just never happen because it is the bare bones of what smash is, I mean you can't really replace mario can you? No, because he's one of the originals, don't go to hard on Lucario either I mean he may not be the best but seriously I'm happy with Mewtwo being a Melee exclusive character and possibly Lucario being a Brawl exclusive (As in only brawl) character just like a few of the others.
Seriously though what is with the whining about the pokemon gen continuing? Guys need to grow up and play on wifi instead of crying about the red and blue games not being popular anymore, although they were the most fun to play, there is a lot more to pokemon these days.

At the time, Lucario was very important. Nintendo succeeded at making him the prominent 4th gen representative pokemon. Although I wouldn't complain if Deoxys had gotten in over Lucario.

Mewtwo or Team Rocket's Meowth nobody else should even be considered. If characters from other series can be chosen then Isaac [Golden Sun], Geno [SMRPG], or Sigurd [Fire Emblem]. Should be the other possible choices.

If anyone, shoulda been Mewtwo. I've stated the reasons so many times elsewhere I should just copy and past them in each thread... Besides, Pokemon's a big enough series to deserve 5 reps...

Completely agree with you but I actually like having Mewtwo as a Melee exclusive due to the different engine and such, you are right though I think PKMN does need at least five slots due to it's size.
