Extralife’s “Repercussions” cartoon series is a parody of Super Mario Galaxy.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has been surpassed, known as the greatest game of all time and sitting on the top position for over 9 years, Ocarina of Time steps down to number 2.

Today, November 16th, 2007, Gamerankings shows Super Mario Galaxy’s average review score of 97.9%, beating Ocarina of Time’s 97.5%, exceeded all expectation.

Three games within a month of each other made it on the top 10 games of all time list, Super Mario Galaxy, The Orange Box, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Megatonik.com reviewed Super Mario Galaxy in yet another negative review for the legendary Mario, I will summarize it for you so that you don’t waste your time.

“Nintendo has finally released a full blown sequel to Mario 64, after the disappointing spin-off, Super Mario Sunshine, on the Gamecube.”

Storyline: “The storyline, if you can even call it that”

Gameplay: “Next, Nintendo throws in some completely idiotic mini games such as stingray surfing”

Graphics: “still tends to look extremely jaggy and unimpressive”

Audio: “you’ll be forced to read through a lot of slow text”

Final Word: “Galaxy is essentially the exact same game we were playing 10 years ago on the N64″

Sony’s Naughty Dog developer is getting ready to roll out the PS3 answer to the mega-hit Super Mario Galaxy, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune puts players on the trail of a hidden treasure of Sir Francis Drake, the 16th century English privateer. It is set in the modern day but crafted in the style of classic adventure movies — think Indiana Jones meets “Tomb Raider” meets “Lost”.

Its lush jungle settings and mix of brawling, shooting and exploration set it apart from other popular games this year that feature heavy military or alien-invasion themes.

“There are lots of sci-fi games that are very dark and brown and grey and sort of post-apocalyptic. We wanted to do something more lush and green and vibrant,” said Evan Wells, co-president of Naughty Dog, the Sony studio developers of “Crash Bandicoot” and “Jak and Daxter”.

Along with Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Sony hopes to take their system off life-support and “push them (players) to buy a console this holiday,” said Billy Pidgeon, games analyst for market research firm IDC.

Variety.com writer Ben Fritz puts his name on the Nintendo fan blackbook after writing an insanely bias Super Mario Galaxy review attacking not only Super Mario Galaxy, but also Nintendo’s Wii graphic performance and the use of the Wii-mote.

A desperate move to bad mouth what could possibly be “The Best Game of the Year” and most likely “The Best Game for the Nintendo Wii Console” and believe me I’m not a fanboy at all, in fact I own a PS3.

As you read the review you will notice the majority of the effort is concentrated on picking apart the game’s limited two player mode, camara control, storyline and Nintendo’s Wii graphic shortcomings, this at a time when Super Mario Galaxy has received such a high amount of praise across the globe, even getting an unprecedented 11 out of 10 rating! This is simply neglecting to give credit where credit is due.

It’s amazing how this “reviewer” found Super Mario Galaxy “The Worst Two-Player Experience” while at the same time declaring Ratchet and Clank for the PS3 “vastly superior” when it’s close to impossible not to find Super Mario Galaxy objectively groundbreaking and superior to current games in its category.

I have screen saved a copy of the review, just in case they might decide to take it offline, which I hope they do, check out the “Sponsored by Sony” logo on the right top section.
